Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a new concept of technology that in a short time, the world's largest companies have invested heavily in the development and application of various technologies in this field and have accelerated its growth at an unprecedented rate. The concept of IoT is to connect different devices to each other. One of the most important issues in the Internet of Things is the existence of a suitable communication infrastructure for different objects to communicate with each other. Recently, various communication protocols have been proposed for this purpose. One of the most important of these protocols is the LoRaWAN communication protocol. Due to the existence of different vehicles in the port administration area, it is very important to provide a solution for managing these vehicles. In fact, by tracking the location of vehicles in a timely manner, the location of these vehicles can be informed at any time, and accordingly, prevent them from entering unauthorized areas, better manage traffic in the port. On the other hand, considering that the process of unloading and loading containers in the port area should be done in the shortest possible time, locating the containers can be very helpful. In addition, by providing the location and condition of containers to cargo owners, their satisfaction with the provision of services can be increased. For this purpose, it is necessary to provide an independent telecommunication infrastructure that can transfer the information of the location of any vehicle or container to the central server. Due to the increasing use of IoT protocols in different ports of the world, the propsed communication infrastructure in this research is based on IoT telecommunication protocols. Due to the many capabilities of the LoRaWAN protocol in this project, this telecommunication infrastructure has been proposed for tracking trucks and containers in the area of Bushehr port and a detailed design of the network has been done w
