In the studied period, Persian-language publications had a very strong presence in the field of economic politics and social life of Iran, and the Persian Gulf, due to its importance, has been allocated pages of newspapers. The publications used in this treatise are the local press that were published in the two cities of Shiraz and Bushehr in the southern provinces, or the publications that only covered the events and incidents of the southern ports. The Persian Gulf is considered among the first-hand sources. For this reason, they have a special place among the periodicals. In fact, what is written in these newspapers can be considered the closest source to the events of the southern ports. Among the most important of these periodicals, we can mention Sangalakh, Naday Zubon, Khaleej Iran and Mozaffari. In general, what can be inferred from the news published in the local press indicates that these newspapers did not have the courage to criticize the performance of government officials and the reflection of people's letters that were published in these newspapers indicated their neutrality during the Qajar era.
