چکیده
Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is one of the most compatible crops which could be cultivated in a wide range of weather conditions. For proper usage of wheat germplasmٍ obtaining information about the diversity of different traits is a fundamental task. In this study 80 recombinant inbred lines derived from a cross between Montena and Kaz were evaluated for pollen germination percentage and pollen tube length. The optimized liquid medium containing 18% sucrose, 9% polyethylene glycol, 2 gr calcium nitrate and 60 mg per liter of boric acid was set for pollen germination test at 25 ° C. Based on the results, lines had significant difference for pollen germination and pollen tube length at 1% level. The coefficient of genotypic and phenotypic variation for pollen germination and pollen tube length were 23.32, 26.7 and 23.83, 27.07 respectively. The results of this study suggest that there is a considerable variation in the pollen germination and pollen tube length in this population. This population has potential to be used for QTL mapping of these traits in future.
