The simplified perturbed-chain statistical association fluid theory (sPC-SAFT) equation of state were coupled with a fugacity-based approach to predict the hydrate formation pressure of methane, ethane and propane simple gas hydrates. New Lenard-Jones potential parameters for these gases were obtained by fitting to the pure experimental data based on sPC-SAFT coupled with Chen and Guo fugacity-based model. Comparison of the results to the experimental data and those in the literature confirms the validity of the used model as the average absolute errors in pressure were less than other well-known models.
