Abstract

In this communication, a thermodynamic consistency 9 test is performed on the isothermal solubility of hydrogen in alkenes 10 and vapor ? liquid equilibrium data for systems containing hydrogen 11 and alkenes. The improved Peng? Robinson equation of state was 12 used for this purpose. The fugacity coe ?cient of each component and 13 compressibility factor of liquid and vapor phases were calculated by 14 this equation of state. Thermodynamic consistency tests have been 15 performed by rewriting the Gibbs ?Duhem equation in terms fugacity 16 coe ? cient and using the area test method. The results showed that 17 most of the equilibrium data of the liquid phase were consistent, but 18 for the vapor phase less than one-half of the data was consistent.
