In this thesis a new one-pot three-components reaction is introduced for the synthesis of acenaphtopyrrole, acenaphtopyrrolopyrimidine and acenaphtopyrroloimidazole hetero cyclic compounds having variouse substitution. The reactions of acenaphtoquinone, barbituric acids and various keten aminals were done in ethanol using catalytic amount of para-toluensulfonic acid under reflux conditions and the mentioned products obtained in 85 to 97 % yields. The products were easily separated from the reaction medium, due to their slight solubility and their structures identified using the spectroscopic data. some interesting behavior of amine protons resulted from intermolecular hydrogen bonding are considered during structure characterization of products.
