One of the branches of ELT which has become more prominent in the recent years is English for specific purposes (ESP). Regarding the importance of ESP courses for its learners, a lot of studies have been conducted to examine ESP textbooks of different majors. At the same line, the aim of this study was to investigate the attitudes of Nutrition students and their ESP teachers towards the layout and design, activities, skills, methodology and overall evaluation of the Nutrition ESP textbook. To conduct the study, 40 undergraduate BS Nutrition students and 11 ESP teachers were selected at Bushehr University of Medical Sciences, Iran, and their attitudes towards the above-mentioned book were examined using individual questionnaires for students and teachers. The statistical analysis of the obtained data using SPSS software (version.22) indicated that most of the Nutrition students were neutral towards the layout and design of their textbook and favored its activities, methodology and overall evaluation. They were only not satisfied with the skills aspect of the book. In fact, based on priority, the students were satisfied with the activities, methodology, overall evaluation, layout and design and skills of their textbook, respectively, but most of the ESP teachers were not satisfied with the layout and design, covered skills and methodology of their textbook. They only had positive attitudes towards the activities and overall evaluation of the book. In fact, the teachers were content with the overall evaluation, layout and design, skills, methodology and activities of their textbook, respectively. Finally, some suggestions were presented by the researcher to improve the textbook. The findings of this study can be very helpful for ESP textbook writers and course designers of Nutrition students and their ESP teachers.
