چکیده

In this study, numerical modeling of flow pattern around the base of bridge located at 90 degree position of gentle arc With lateral intake in different positions and angles and also to numerical modeling of scour around bridge pier at 90 and60 degrees of gentle arc with lateral intake at different positions and angles of deflection were investigated using SSIIM2 software.Numerical modeling was performed in a 180 degree gentle arc with a radius to width ratio of (R / B) 4.33. In scour modeling, the effect of base position parameters on the arch, lateral intake position and the lateral intake diversion angle were investigated and also in the flow pattern modeling the influence of lateral intake position on the arch, lateral intake diversion angle and diversion of the lateral intake channel were investigated. The results of this study show that by placing the lateral intake in the proper position and diversion angle, the maximum depth of scour around the pier has been reduced. The maximum depth of scour in the models was reduced by placing the pire at 60 degree relative to 90 degree. Reduction of maximum depth of scour at pier stand by60 degree position with lateral intake at 75, 90 and115 degrees with angle of 60 degrees relative to non-lateral intake at approximately 18,46 and 37 percent And at positions of 135 and 150 degrees with diversion angle of 90 degrees were about 64 and 55 percent, respectively. Also at pier stand with pier position at 90 degree with lateral intake at 115 degree,45 degree deflection angle had the lowest scour depth and75 degree diversion angle had the highest scour depth. at a position of 135 and 150 degrees at the pier position Respectively 60 degree diversion angle had the lowest scour depth at a position of150 degree,45 degree diversion angle had the lowest scour depth. Consequently, it can be stated that the lowest depth of scour around the pier in the pier model at 60 degree position with lateral intake at a position 135 and 150 degree
