The objective of this study was computed CPUE index in Motaf region waters (Bushehr province) in 2011. Sampling was taken by R/V SHANAK (outrigger trawler with 26m length, 7.4m wide and 600 hp) equipped with two bottom trawl nets(were made up Polyamide) with a 31m head rope and a 40mm mesh size in the cod-end and 50mm in the panel. Data were collected via stratified random sampling and tow time was 1h. The CPUE was calculated for each haul using
(Cw: weight of catch and h: tow time (hours)). The minimum, maximum and mean CPUE (± STD) of P. Semisulcatus obtained 700, 900 and 800±100 g/h, respectively. Shrimp reserves in Bushehr province is reduced in recent years so that biomass of shrimp in 2011(455 tonnes) is the minimal value of biomass in the last decades. Overfishing is most important factor in declining shrimp stocks.
