Abstract

Background: In adolescence, people are prone to thousands of psychological problems and many disorders appear for the first time in this period, among which depression and anxiety disorders are among the highest ranks. Early-onset depression can lead to problems such as social and educational problems, as well as increased self-care and suicide. Major Depression (DSM-5) is characterized as an emotional and chronic complication with severe sadness and inability to experience pleasure, and due to its widespread occurrence and the economic, social and emotional burden that this disorder entails. , Has continued to hold depression as one of the mainstays of research Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of group-individual group psychological education on improving mood symptoms, emotional regulation, problem solving and cognitive flexibility in adolescents with major depression in Shiraz among 25 adolescents with major depressive disorder. Methodology: This research is a quasi-experimental study with experimental group and control group with pre-test-post-test. The subjects of the experimental group and their parents (father, mother or both) for 8 sessions of 90 minutes, one day a week, They underwent group psychological training online in Skyrum. After collecting the data, the data were analyzed using one-way analysis of covariance. Conclusions The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in mood symptoms and the mean of the experimental group in the post-test stage was significantly lower than the control group. The results also showed that between the experimental group and the control group. There is a significant difference in at least one of the overall scores and subscales of problem solving, cognitive flexibility, and difficulty in regulating emotion
