Abstract

The “Divine Throne” is one of the most important issues addressed in the Holy Quran, the narrations of the Infallibles (a.s.), and especially in the school of the Sadeghi (a.s.). On the other hand, other Islamic sects have had such differences of opinion regarding the concept and meaning of the “Divine Throne” that it has provided a place for scholarly division and discord. The complexity of the issue is increased when all the verses related to the Divine Throne are similar. Now, with such confusion that has arisen over the issue of the “Divine Throne”, there is no choice but to use the authentic hadiths and the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.). In this study, emphasis is placed on the narration of Dawood Ruqi from Imam Sadiq (a.s.) regarding the meaning of the throne. The main issue of analyzing the concept of the Divine Throne, which in this narration has come to mean Divine knowledge. In this article, the evidence for such a meaning has been examined with the help of other verses and narrations. Now, with an analytical method based on library resources, we have studied the meaning of the Divine Throne. The results of the research show that the Divine Throne is not a body, but an independent reality and one of the unseen realities. Therefore, it is in the category of the abstract worlds and is considered the station of the knowledge of God Almighty.
