Abstract

Background: Kebab dates, like Mazafati dates, are considered as skin dates and in the tamarind stage, more than 25% of the total skin surface is separated from the fruit flesh. This condition created in the fruit reduces its usefulness and gives the fruit an unpleasant appearance. Rotb stage, kebab does not have this condition and unlike the tamarind stage, which has a wrinkled and undesirable appearance, the fruit has a better appearance and a lighter color at this stage. Due to the climatic conditions of Dashtestan city, such as hot winds, dust, most of the kebab dates that reach the tree naturally are contaminated with spider mites, dust or cluster dryness. The complication of date cluster drought has been the most important problem of date producers in the south of the country in recent years, which has caused great damage to gardeners. Therefore, choosing a suitable solution to eliminate or reduce the damage caused by this complication seems necessary Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of calcium nitrate, potassium sulfate and benzyl adenine on yield and quantitative and qualitative characteristics as well as the complication of fruit drying of Kabkab date palms in the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Persian Gulf University. Methodology: in this research 24 palms in a block design. Complete randomization was performed with three replications. Treatments include control (distilled water), 150 mg / l benzyl adenine, 10 g / l potassium sulfate, 15 g / l calcium nitrate, 15 g / l calcium nitrate + 150 mg / l benzyl adenine, 15 g / l calcium nitrate + 10 g / l potassium sulfate and 150 mg / l benzyl adenine + 10 g / l potassium sulfate + 15 g / l calcium nitrate. In this experiment, the length, diameter and weight of fruit and kernel, firmness of fruit tissue, total sugar, reducing sugar, pH, TSS, TA and the percentage of apparent drying of the fruit were measured. Conclusions: The results of analysis of variance showed that th
