n the present study, the aim is to investigate and analyze the interaction between a merchant container ship and irregular
surface waves of water by means of computational fluid dynamics, as well as calculating the seakeeping parameters of the structure, i.e. response amplitude operator (RAO), is the range of motor response in structure. Analyzing tool of this study, STAR CCM+ software based on computational fluid dynamics, is one of the strongest softwares available in simulation and numerical analysis of the above issue. In this study, after numerical model validation analysis and investigation, we contribute to investigate different seakeeping and dynamic parameters of a merchant container ship in surface mode with wave collision from different directions to structure. The results were investigated and compared with each other in form of various diagrams in frequency domains.
