Abstract

Nowadays, one of the issues that widely affects the environment is the issue of the spread of greenhouse gases, which has caused an increase in the amount of pollution and the temperature of the earth, the effects of which are tangible for everyone, and in this direction and in order to reduce the emission of Greenhouse gases, the shipbuilding industry and its related fields is one of the industries that has been a pioneer in this field, have taken effective steps in this direction and according to the set perspectives, step by step until reaching a specific goal progressed in the EEDI index. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of the simultaneous use of two effective technologies in reducing the ship's resistance and consequently reducing fuel consumption and thus reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions. The bulbous bow modification and the addition of the stator before propeller have been discussed on the amount of total resistance and the wake in the floating heel. The method used in this research is simulation with the help of Star-CCM+ commercial software, which entered the simulation environment after making changes in the initial model and performed the desired calculations on it. In this research, the amount of force along the Z axis, the moment around the Y axis, drag force, residual stresses, compressive and tangential drag force, the wave pattern created by the movement of the float, pressure distribution on the float body, wake pressure , Y+ wall thickness and floating volume ratio have been investigated in different situations. Based on the results of the modelling done, the amount of total drag in situations with increasing the length of the bulbous bow by 10% and adding 6 and 8 stators in the heel at the same time shows a reduction of 0.032, 0.206 and increasing the length of the bulbous bow by 25% and simultaneously adding 6 and 8 stators in the heel shows a reduction of 0.241 and 0.166 respectively compared to the initi
