Abstract

Roller compacted concrete, is such as a concrete whit zero slump used in road pavement, a new technology that is almost two decades in several projects pavement implemented. Today, for environmental reasons, waste recycling and reuse has been considered by many researchers. Due to the fact that in the highway construction industry, several million tons of asphalt particles are produced every year and the use of these materials is inevitable. Due to the advantages of concrete pavement compared to asphalt pavement Such as reducing the cost of paving as well as speeding up its construction and due to the presence of sufficient cement in the country, the tendency to use roller compacted concrete pavement is increasing. Nowadays, nanomaterials have been considered by the construction industry, especially road construction, due to their obvious behaviors. Since the application of nano-silica in concrete has had a good performance in improving its properties, it is hoped that the effect of nano-silica on improving the properties of roller concrete can be investigated. this study was conducted to investigate the behavioral and strength properties of roller concrete compacted containing recycled asphalt and nano-silica. the considered specimens in this research have made and studied in the base of soil view. For compacting of concrete, the vibrating hammer has been used. at the first phases, required optimum moisture value for mix design was obtained. in this phase, 180 cylindrical specimens of 30×15 millimeters were made and evaluated. at second phases, compressive strength and behavior of the samples made with the optimum moisture obtained in the first stage were evaluated. the mentioned specimens are in the ages of 7 and 90 days (20 samples) which are made as 30 × 15 mm cylindrical. from the obtained results, it can be concluded that by adding nano-silica by weight, the optimum moisture content for roller compacted concrete specimens is reduced and also experienced a decr
