In date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.), in vitro Propagation, though has overcome limitations of off-shoot propagation and could produce sufficient palnt propagules for developing date palm plantations in large scale, but it has yielded some problems in growing tissue culture-derived plants in orchard. Appearance of abnormal palnt phenotypes such as plants producing high level of parthenocarpic fruits and too much fruit drop are of major problems. 'Barhee' is one of the popular date palm cultivar that exhibits such abnormalities. In the present study, in order to improve normal fruit set, fruit yield and quality, effects of five pollen sources and two pollination times were investigated on 12-years-old tissue culture-derived 'Barhee' trees under environmental conditions of Dashtestan region, Bushehr province. Fruit set traits were recorded five weeks after pollination, physical characteristics of fruit and seed were measured at Khalal stage, and chemical traits of ripened fruit after bunch harvest. Results showed that pollination with 'Zahidi' pollen lead to significant increase in the mean normal fruit set compared to other pollen sources while the mean fruit weight and size remained acceptable. Pollination with 'Jarvis' pollen led to best fruit quality characteristics such as highest percentage of TSS, reducing and total sugars, maximum percentage of moisture content and weight ratio of flesh to seed. 'Jarvis' pollen is one of superior treatments of this research in terms of normal fruit-setting. Pollination with 'Jarvis' pollen significantly enhanced percentage of ripened fruits per bunch while didn't reduced fruit size and weight compared to 'Shahani' pollen. Effect of pollination time on all measured traits, excepting TSS, TA and pH of fruit extract, length to diameter ratio of fruit and weight ratio of flesh to seed was significant.
