Recently, an alternative measure of uncertainty termed by extropy was proposed by Lad et al. (2015). In this paper, we introduce an alternative measure of uncertainty of random lifetimes which we call it varextropy and study several properties of this concept. We also consider the conditional varextropy and discuss some properties of this measure.
