The issue of prevention of crime and improve public safety is one of the important social phenomena which have cast a horrible shadow in all crises existing around the world. The aim of this study is to examine the media's role in the prevention of crime and improve public safety Bushehr. The research method is in the field form and of correlation type. The statistical population of present study includes all residents in boushehr 1000 persons were selected as the sample by objective and random sampling method. In this research, researcher-made questionnaire and in-depth interview were used for collecting the information and Pearson Correlation test and Independent T test and Variance Analysis were used for data analysis. The findings showed that audio media in preventing crime and improving social security in this study is effective. The results showed that the media (audio, visual and written) in preventing crime and improving the social security of the sample by age, gender and education is effective.
