The purpose of this research is to determine and compare the effectiveness of
positive parenting and schema-based parenting on life skills. This research was a
case study with a pre-test-post-test and follow-up design. The statistical population
of the research was made up of children aged 12 to 14 years. The participants were
selected by available method and randomly assigned to two experimental groups
and control group. The required findings were collected through the Life
Effectiveness Questionnaire and analyzed with SPSS-26 software. The findings of
the research showed that both approaches have an effect on increasing the different
components of life skills and only in the component of active initiative, the
effectiveness of schema therapy was not achieved. In other components, there is
little significant difference between the effectiveness of the two approaches.
