Abstract

Background: The perception of mental well-being, fatigue and competence in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is very important and there are many methods to investigate these components, one of which is computer cognitive rehabilitation. Purpose: The purpose of the research was to investigate the effect of computerized cognitive rehabilitation on mental well-being, fatigue and competence in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Methodology: The research method was semi-experimental and its design was pre-test and post- test with a control group. The statistical population of this research included all male students from the second to the sixth grade of primary school in Shiraz city. Since the suggested sample size in the intervention studies was 12 people, in the present study, in order to prevent the drop of the subjects and increase the power of the test, the sample size among the students with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder according to the entry and exit criteria was 28. people were considered and after matching in terms of intelligence, age and severity of symptoms, they were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group (14 people in each group). The measurement tools include mental well-being questionnaires, Smets multidimensional fatigue measurement questionnaire and It was the standard questionnaire of social-emotional competence of Zu and J students. For data analysis, spss software and mixed repeated measure analysis of variance were used to check the effectiveness and durability of the treatment in the experimental group in three times: pre-test, post-test and follow-up. Findings: The findings showed that there is a significant difference between the adjusted average scores of the overall mental well-being scale according to group membership in the two experimental and control groups (p<0.0001) and also between the adjusted average scores of the overall mental well-being scale According
