Abstract

Ahmad Sihnun is considered one of the prominent Algerian poets who defeded the country and freedom with his free and sincere words. Therefore, his poetry shows the contemporary history of Algeria and the Arab nation. He was one of the poets who fought colonialism with his poetry and used most of the poems in the service of Arab ideals, and his poems were all rebellion against the colonial dictators. The purpose of the poet is to show the hardships and miseries that exist in the society. The poem of resistance has a great contribution in his collection of poems and in his poems he defends the people of Algeria and he asks all the people of Algeria to liberate the country from the colonialist. In the following, we see that the poet praises the heroes of his country who sacrificed their lives on the way to freedom and wants to immortalize their memory in his poems. This research aims to analyze the poet's view on the issue of revolution, patriotism, poverty, and the position of women. One of the most important findings this research is that the poet cares about homeland, revolution and resistance and respect women. These issues play an important role in the poet's poetry and he was able to influence political and social conditions and resist injustice.
