The use of intensive farming methods has presented aquaculture production with new and numerous challenges such as the incidence and spread of disease, increased mortality, and reduced production. For this reason, in order to increase aquaculture production per unit area, special attention should be paid to strategies for improving growth and safety, as well as reducing stress. In this regard, the use of compounds that can enhance the efficiency of feeding and safety of aquaculture in intensive and super-intensive farming conditions and prevent aquatic mortality has attracted the attention of most aquaculture experts and producers.
