Abstract

Background: In this study, using mercury metal salts and organic ligands pyridine-2, 6-di carboxylic acid (L) and 2,4-diamino-6-chloropyrimidine (L^'), two new super molecule compounds [Hg (L) Cl ( H_2 O)].L^' and [Hg ClL^'] were synthesized by sonochemistry and Breanch tube. Aim: Synthesis of supermolecule compounds is the new goal of this project. Methodology: The two synthesized supermolecules were examined using infrared spectroscopy, elemental X-ray diffraction analysis, thermal gravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The structures of these complexes were identified by X-ray diffraction. Conclusions: According to the analyzes performed and the studies that have been done on the composition, the composition (1) has the same structure as (1^'). Both are a 5-coordinate supermolecule crystallized in a monoclinic crystal system with spatial group P21 / n. By examining the angles and lengths of the bonds around the central atom, the geometric shape of the pyramid with a square base is proposed for this combination. Intermolecular and intramolecular interactions in this structure have been investigated and the share of interactions in the structure has been measured, including hydrogen bonds (O… H,) and π-π interactions (including C… H, H… N). Be. They have the largest contribution as non-covalent intermolecular forces in creating the supramolecular structure of this compound. The nanoparticles of this compound have a rod morphology and a particle size of 80-100 nm. According to the analyzes and studies performed on the compound, compound (2) is a supermolecule with coordination 2 that is crystallized in a monoclinic crystal system with spatial group P21 / n.
