Abstract

The fission process of the excited nucleus 213Fr produced in fusion reaction 16O+197Au has been simulated in the framework of the modified statistical model with considering the effects of projection of spin about the symmetry axis, K, and temperature. In our study, we calculate the fission probability and the evaporation residue cross section of the compound nucleus 213Fr after evaporation light particles and by fitting the calculated data with the experimental data extract the magnitude of the temperature coefficient of the effective potential, landa , and the scaling factor of the fission-barrier height, rs. We show that the appropriate values of these parameters for 213Fr are landa=0.010 and rs=1.0035 Then, in order to show that the ability of this model to estimate another features of fission process, we calculate for example neutron and proton multiplicities for this nucleus. Furthermore, we show that the calculated data are satisfactorily in agreement with the experimental data.
