The historical fabric of cities is part of the national and cultural capital of the country that is not
only valuable in terms of the beautiful landscape and the continued memory and identity of our
cities, but also the habitat and livelihood of millions. However, these textures also have negative
features such as disturbance of the landscape, inadequate access, lack of urban facilities and
equipment, disruption in the economic and social structure, and physical-structural burnout,
which has led to the displacement of a large population of these tissues. Unlike other historical
cities in other cities of Iran, the historical context of Bushehr is located at the core of the city and
this provides a good context for revitalizing this valuable fabric, focusing on the native
architecture of Bushehr. One of the bases that can create a dynamic activity for sustainable
development and also for the purpose of sustaining a valuable ecosystem, sustainable tourism
development as well as preserving the environment, customs and culture of the indigenous
people of that region, is eco-tourism resorts. Eco-tourism resort, while promoting a culture of
conservation, promoting the protection of native areas, as well as valuable historical contexts,
serve as an effective base in the historical context that can enhance social sustainability. This
study introduces some of the indicators of "social sustainability" and introduces some of the
strategies for designing an " Eco-tourism resort ". This research uses a survey method for
environmental cognition and analysis as well as a descriptive-analytical method for interpreting
data and the environment. The results of this study show how the dimensions and indicators of
social sustainability lead to sustainable design and thus sustainable development. .
