Abstract

Anything of the written works of ancient Iran for the future can be found in the from of scattered material in a number of historical sources of the third century written in Arabic. Ibn Qutaybah al-Dinawaris has quoted many of these valuable materials that depict the rituals and customs of the life of the ancient Iranians in Ayoun al-Akhbar. In addition, he has briefly mentioned the history of the kings of Iran in his Al-maaref. In this treatise, an attempt is made to study the evidences of Iranian scientific wisdom and its types in the book of Ayoun Al-Akhbar by a descriptive-historical-analytical method, and then by examining the image of Iranian king's through the anecdotes and advices of Ibn Qutaybah. He has quoted these three books, let us compare the texts of Ibn Qutaybah with similar texts in other historical sources. Then to mention the Persian words used in Ayoun al-Akhbar and at the end of the classes of three valuable books called Tajnameh, Ainnameh, Khodainameh are researched we have given. From the examination of these cases, it was concluded that in the field of practical wisdom of the ancient Iranians, more to they have moral refinement and civic politics and less house hold management and are among the most important moral teachings for them. We can mention secrecy, forgiveness, the superiority of science over wealth, and soon. And from comparing the evidence in the two the book on the image of the sasany king's with other sources of history revealed that some of this poor evidence in Ayoun al-Akhbar and some without changes in other sources have been. Ibn Qutaybah has also mentioned about 50 Persian words in Ayoun al-Akhbar. And in connection with examining the remaining parts of the books of Tajnameh, Ainnameh and Khodainameh in Ayoun al-Akhbar and Al-Maaref, it can be said that these books contain teachings of practice and ethics on various subjects, most of which are related to religion and the customs were related to the king's and the king's co
