Background: In today’s rapidly changing and highly competitive environment, having high-performing employees is considered one of the key factors for organizational success. Job performance is no longer solely dependent on technical skills; it also relies on individuals’ personality traits, learning capabilities, and perspectives toward work-related issues. Personality traits play a decisive role in how individuals perceive, make decisions, and interact within the workplace. Moreover, strategic learning, as a dynamic and purposeful process, helps employees better understand long-term organizational goals and align their activities accordingly. Strategic thinking, as a mediating construct, can effectively bridge individual characteristics and learning capabilities with job performance. This study, focusing on the employees of Sarkhoon and Qeshm Gas Refining Company, investigates the impact of strategic learning and personality traits on job performance and analyzes the mediating role of strategic thinking in these relationships.
Aim: The main objective of this research is to assess the impact of strategic learning and personality traits on job performance with the mediating role of strategic thinking among employees of Sarkhoon and Qeshm Gas Refining Company.
Methodology: This research is applied in terms of purpose and is conducted through a quantitative and field-based approach. The strategy is descriptive-survey with a deductive reasoning framework, based on positivist philosophy. The statistical population consists of 247 employees of Sarkhoon and Qeshm Gas Refining Company, from which 164 individuals were selected using convenience sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale.
