The period of Reza Shah is considered as one of the interesting periods in the contemporary history of Iran. The period when Iranian society faced a more serious process of modernization or, as some historians and sociologists interpret, "pseudo-modernism". The general approach in Reza Shah's modernization policy was political focus and cultural and social assimilation, based on which social reforms, establishment of new cultural, social and political institutions, education system, etc. took place. Like other parts of the country, modernization in Azerbaijan also caused the society to move from the traditional state to the modern state; Taking into account the local cultural and social characteristics, the modernization and change of the macro structures and the formation of the nation-state with a nationalist color and sometimes with an approach of extremism and repression, and at the same time the influence of foreign powers and domestic elements dependent or supported by them, the grounds for public dissatisfaction and It provided radical forces and in the long term ethnocentrism and pan-Turkism at least in a part of the Azerbaijani society. How this situation came about can be examined from different angles. This research has paid attention to this issue from the social aspect; The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the social changes caused by the modernization policy during the years 1304-1320 in Azerbaijan. It should be noted that in this regard, not only the social dimensions of modernization, but also the social consequences of modernization in the political and social sectors are of interest.
