Abstract

Resistance and perseverance mean standing up against aggression, encroachment, oppression and oppression, as well as striving to achieve victory. The literature of perseverance is the language of people who rise up and fight against these challenges. Iran and Palestine are among the countries that have witnessed aggression and invasion of their lands by enemies in their history. Considering the cultural and religious similarities of these two nations and the recent developments in the region, the present study conducts a comparative study and analysis of the themes of resistance and perseverance in the poetry of two prominent poets from these two countries, Moeen Besiso from Palestine and Saeed Biyabanaki from Iran. The main purpose of this study is to answer this important question: How do these two poets view the themes of resistance and perseverance in their works? The findings of this study, which was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method and using library resources, show that both poets have addressed common themes such as martyrdom, homeland, and struggle in their works and have composed influential poems in this field. In Besiso's poems, the concept of homeland is prominent with a national flavor, while in Biabank's works, this concept is more associated with the theme of religion. Another important result of this research is the reference to common Islamic figures that both poets have written about, and among these figures, Imam Hussein (AS) has a special place.
