Abstract

The Pahlavi period witnessed significant changes in the social status of women compared to previous historical periods. Gradually, women moved away from traditional restrictions and gradually entered various social, economic, cultural, educational, political and other fields. As a result of this development, which started from the center and spread to other parts of the country, the present study examines the social, economic and political activities of women in Borazjan during the Pahlavi period. For this purpose, an attempt has been made to answer the questions of what were the dimensions of the social activities of women in Borazjan during the Pahlavi period and what impact did government and semi-government organizations have on the social activities of women in Borazjan. The findings of the study show that “health and treatment” and “education” were the most important areas of social presence and participation of women in Borazjan during the Pahlavi period. However, towards the end of this period, some women in this city also appeared in the “political” field. In addition, the establishment and launch of some organizations and formations such as the "Women's Organization" in Borazjan provided the presence of women in this city in many social activities. This research was conducted using a historical method and a descriptive-analytical approach, and the necessary data was collected using a library method and archival documents and oral history.
