Abstract

Alluvial fans are common geomorphological landforms that have importance role in neotectonics studies. The objective of this research was to evaluate the influence of tectonic activities in the formation of alluvial fans in the Ghale-Ganj area. The study area in the east of the Jiroft fault is situated in the Kerman province. In this research, In this study, topographic maps, geological map, field observations and satellite images of the digital elevation model, as the survey data have been used and 34 alluvial fans and basin were distinguished. In this respect, indicators such as fan comicality index, hypsometric integral, basin shape ratio, width/length ratio, stream gradient, Elongation ratio, Basin shape index and etc have been used for the evaluation of active tectonic .The results indicate values obtained from geomorphic indicators suggest neotectonic activity in drainage basins and alluvial fans which is confirmed by the Jiroft fault performance.
