Abstract The present study was carried out on “Kabkab” date palm grown at college of Agriculture and Natural Resource, Persian Gulf University located in southern Iran. This study was conducted on 20-years-old date palms in completely randomized block design at factorial manner in four replicates. The factors were; potassium sulfate (0, 400, 800 and 1200 g K2O for each palm by soil application) and iron sulfate (0, 11 and 23g/l/palm as trunk injection).Fruit physiochemical characteristics were measured in the harvest time. Results revealed that both factors increased significantly fruit set, yield, fruit weight, total soluble solid, reducing sugar, total sugar, fruit weight, number of bunch per palm, number of strand per bunch and bunch weight. Other physiochemical characteristics of fruit such as PH, diameter, weight/seed ratio and seed length/seed diameter were not affected by treatments. Higher amounts of potassium and iron usage, increased leaf contents of K, Fe, Zn and Cu but decreased Mn content significantly. Also, it was shown that soil application of400g K2O in combination with injection of 11 g FeSO4 palm-1 into the trunk obtained the best results.
