Today, induced polyploidy using mutagenic chemicals, as one of the methods modified to enhance the production of secondary metabolites of medicinal plants used blond plantain(Plantago ovata Forsk.) and psyllium (Plantago psyllium L) of the and the most valuable herb plantain family (Plantaginaceae) are. In order to induce karyotypes in psyllium and psyllium using colchicine treatment of four concentrations (0, 2/0 5/0 and 1) and three treatments per cent of the time (12,24 and 48) were used in the treatment of terminal bud. Treatment was done on apical meristem at harvest stages. Survival rate and the number of morphologically altered plants are one to three months after the application was Tymarbrrsy. The ploidy level measurement was performed using flow cytometry. Morphological characteristics, length, width and leaf thickness and length, width and stomata density physiological traits of chlorophyll a and b, total chlorophyll and Karvtnvyydgyahan Vdyplvyyd tetraploid were compared. Increase tetraploid chromosome samples and flow cytometry results also confirmed ploidy level.
