Abstract

The parallel text means the demarcations that surround the main text all over. This kind of texts became one of the main and significant factors in modern critic studies; too, it contains the casing, presentation, the main topic, and other topics, the margins, extra explanations, the background, and the results. It also contains points of publications, and bookmaker’s discussions, pecuniary articles written about the writer after publishing and getting the readers. All this is originated from the writer’s thought and it plays a significant role in justifying the reading and it couldn’t be divided from the main text because they are so related.
This study concentrates on the parallel text and its relation to the world of the text in the poetry book “the profile of the wind, a lateral portrait of the rain” of Jawad Alhadtab. And, to do this, we used a descriptive analytical method. Then we used the semiotic method to reveal the implications when studying the symbols or keys. The results reveals that the parallel texts gives the reader a piece of knowledge to help him dive in the main text and know all its meanings and implications .in this poetry book, parallel texts come to reflex the main point of the poems and their implications and their latent meanings all from the casing o the topic and to the background and then the margins.
