Abstract
Objectives: This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of herbal plants consist of: Melilotus officinalis, Oliveria decumbens vent and Aloe Vera L. on growth performance, Biochemical factors, Qualitative agent and microbial load in Japanese quail meat. Materials & Methods: A total of 315 one day old quail, were randomly distributed in 7 groups by three replicate (15 birds in each treatment). Treatments were included two levels (0.5 and 2%) of each herbal plants, and a control group that received diet free of herbal plants. Results & Conclusion: The results showed that live body weight and feed conversion ratio were not affected significantly by different level of herbal plants. But, on qualitative factors, carcass components, microbial community, biochemical factors and meat pH significantly affected by levels of herbal plants (p>0.05). Finally according to the result suggested that, adding 0.5 and 2 percentages of these three herbal to the ratio could be improving in quality meat and biochemical factor in Japanese quail.
