Abstract

Women, given their importance and the richness of their concept, were used by poets recently and anciently to symbolize Semitic meanings, each according to its shadow and outlook, so that it has become a symbol of many Semitic meanings related to the land, country, moment, and modernity. In this concept, used by the creative poet saeed abo samar in his collection, The Train of Curses. Women in this poetic group came in various concepts of beloved, mother and grandmother, to bear the meanings of modernity, homeland and genuineness, in order. The poet’s employment of this symbol was evident as the best of all, as he chose the beloved singular to signify his love for modernity and development, and it is a successful recruitment due to its conformity to the tendency of the great poets to employ them with the same symbol on one side and the perfect connection between the beloved and the modern on the other side. The poet acted skillfully in using mother symbd to imply homeland due to the similarity between mother and homeland that both are human's shelter while crisis. The poet was succesfull in using the word "grandmother" to imply the originallity of nation and noble history that's because the word a grandmother carries the concept of long life that points out originallity and history.
