Abstract

Although the fall of the Abbasid by Mongol, Arab Muslims domination was ended in Iran , this country till the Safavid formation at the beginning of the tenth century was actually chaos. Iran, by the formation of the Safavid which has Shiite religion, became a unified state. In this study it was tried to explore the role of Gilan and its local government, Al-Kia, in the formation of the Safavids national government.
The results, based on analysis and historical explanation show, the Safavids was the last stage of a process that had started from the Timurid period and is based on the integration of creed and lordship. Kiai Sadat himself that came to government, by Marashi Sadat and on the same basis, in the land of Gilan and by the long-standing special mysticism upon Gilan, with harboring Ismail Mirza, have played an important role in preventing the destruction of Safavids remains and pursuting of political aims.
