The oceans contain rich sources of organic compounds that these compounds are stored in inhabitant organisms, with application in food, medical and pharmaceutical are available. Used anti- bacterial and anti-fungal medicines are synthetic, semi-synthetic and natural that are depend on different plants and animals. such is sea cucumber among these creatures that belongs to the filum of Echinoderm and class of Holothuriodea. sea cucumbers are found in different sea depthes. but often they are found in shallow, tropical waters and coral reefs. present study was conducted to investigate the medicinal properties of cucumber. the survey revealed that echinodermatous such as sea cucumber compared to other organisms such as Sponges, Bryozoas, Clams, Corals and ... contains the highest anti-bacterial effect. also saponins and triterpen glycosides that are greatest products extracted from the sea cucumber, show activity of anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-cancer.
