Abstract
|
A rapid and facile synthesis route to obtain mesoporous MCM-41 silica at room temperature under basic conditions using as template cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) is reported. MSM-41 samples were prepared from the initial gel with different NH4OH / H2O ratios. Samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms, SEM and TEM analyses. It is shown that molar ratio of NH4OH / H2O affects the quality of the MCM-41 samples. These mesoporous silicas could be synthesized at short periods of time, and it exhibited a uniform size and well textural properties.
