The presence of water in the soil can cause a lot of problems in the excavation project. In this context, the reduction and loss of the bearing capacity of shallow foundations for buildings upstream and inflict damage to life and property of residents, sliding wall and destroyed the forehead deep, increase of cost and time of deep repair, sand boiling and water entering into the site, are some of these problem. So, in excavation operations, control incoming and outgoing water in the site are very important. Many different methods including the use of deep wells, Geocomposite strips and etc. are provided to water control in excavated site. These methods are applicable in certain circumstances. Wellpoint system is one of the most common collection systems and outflow of water from shallow excavation. The main purpose of this system is reducing the groundwater level in the excavation area and in the shortest time possible.
