Abstract Dewpoint pressure and gas compressibility factor are two important parameters in the gas condensate reservoir calculations. Equation of states, empirical correlations and laboratory measurement are common ways to determine these parameters. The experimental measurement is usually expensive and time consuming; thus, empirical correlations are normally used as predictive tools for PVT predictions. In this work, some empirical correlations are modified to estimate the amount of dewpoint pressure and compressibility factor for an offshore gas condensate reservoir. The modified correlations were tested with available PVT data of 14 wells and errors were compared. Finally, sensitivity analysis shows impact of each individual variable on the dewpoint pressure and deviation factor.
