Analysis of production data is a practical engineering tool which provides information such as gas-in-place, average pressure, reservoir permeability and well skin. To perform production analysis, both well rate and bottom hole pressure histories must be available. For the field under study, such data are missing. The present study provides a road map for analyzing production data in an Iranian gas-condensate offshore field. Clearly, both well rate and bottom hole pressure histories would be determined in the stages of this road map. Such analysis requires an integrated study involving quality check of production data, platform process modeling, simulation of measurement devices, modeling choke performance, well modeling, and finally rate transient analysis (RTA). To analyze well production data, we propose five general steps which are: Data gathering/organization/quality check, determination of well rate history, determination of well bottom hole pressure history, layer rate allocation, and reservoir property estimation. In this study, these steps are presented and challenges and uncertainties of each step are mentioned. To cope with these uncertainties and challenges, feasible solutions are proposed for the current field situation as well as future developments.
