Introduction: Introduction: The purpose of the present study is to investigate the barriers to private sector participation and investment in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province sports according to industry executives.
Method: This study is of applied-descriptive nature conducted as a survey. The study population consists of all CEOs, finance deputies, production manager, and sales and marketing managers of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province manufacturing industries as well as the industry authorities amounting to 180 participants. The sample size was estimated at 118 participants according to Morgan table. For data collection, a researcher-made 42-question questionnaire was used. The research findings were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov, one-sample t-test, Friedman test, independent t test, and analysis of variance.
Results: The results showed that according to industry executives, the seven components (economic, social and cultural, legal, administrative, political, incentive and support, announcement and capital market barriers) are effective in the absence of private sector investment and participation in Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari’s sport. The highest average ranking is associated with support and encouragement barriers (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Practically speaking, certain support and incentive packages such as counseling, tax breaks and holding conferences to appreciate the participation of the private sector are of help to attract investment and participation in the sport sector.
