Due to the growing demand for energy and climate changes as a result of global warming, it is undeniable necessity of using renewable. Wind and solar energy among renewable energies are so important because of many reasons such as availability and easy transforming into electricity and they are very considerable. Since none of these energies can be produced continuously so by combining of them consistent and steady energy can be produced. In this paper Persian Gulf University in Bushehr province, goes under consideration to study the feasibility study and economical optimization for combined renewable energy system consists of wind and solar energies.The purpose of this study is to design the optimum system for the production of a part of required electrical energy for the Persian Gulf University. The optimization results clearly show that hybrid system contains of turbine (20 kW), solar panels (10 kW), generator (15 kW), battery (60 kW) and transformer (35 KW). Magnitude of produced electricity by wind, solar energy and generators in each month of the year and also the portion of each device and power plant in costs are the other parameters that have been considered in this work.
