Abstract purpose: Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of teaching the personality excellence methods on self-control and resilience in students. Methodology: The present study was conducted in the form of a pretest-posttest test with a control group. Participants participated in the experiment in a 10-session course on personality excellence training. All members of the Tangyi self-control and tangential control and scaling Cone and Davidson (2009) completed before and after the intervention. Results: The results of single-variable covariance analysis showed that education of excellence methods increases self-control and resilience in students. Conclusion: From the findings of the research, it has been deduced that the approach of personality enhancement has been an effective way to increase self-control and resilience of students. By pointing out that a significant part of the psychiatric pathology is controlled and in particular, And self-control problems are of major importance in most psychiatric disorders. In this regard, most people with low self-control are more likely to be exposed to antisocial behaviors, reduce their mental health and, more generally, reduce general health in the community. Therefore, the results of this research can be applied by drug addiction centers, especially psychologists and school counselors.
