Popular literature should be considered as an important and valuable part of popular culture which shows feelings, emotions, desires, imaginations, and different thoughts of folks, clans, and communities; and is a precious heritage left by ancestors as artworks. Meanwhile, Lullabies also as a part of popular poetry and literature are of richest and the first cultural, artistic, and literally teachings of any country which are usually whispered beside cradles and “Mahtaks” by mothers into ear and soul of infants. Lullabies of people of Bushehr is with no doubt in this category and valuable treasury of literature and culture, and are beautiful and pleasing, have artistic subtleties, and yet embrace a huge part of culture and customs of people of Bushehr which are transferred from mothers to children. An important part of social changes, lifestyle, and ideas and desires of women and mothers of a country can be seen in lullabies in the most beautiful form which is moved orally and chest to chest from generation to generation. This article tries to study popular literature in regards of lullabies of people of Bushehr with description and analysis; and investigate its semantic structure, themes, formats, rhythms, fundamentals, and functions by mentioning examples.
