Abstract Increasing social capital and its importance can be beneficial for leading managers who are in need of changes and changes to improve their organization and help them achieve their organizational goals. Therefore, this research examines the impact of social capital on managing the engineering and construction of the national company of southern oilfields on the productivity of manpower. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between social capital and productivity in engineering and construction management of the national company of southern oil fields. On the other hand, there is a significant relationship between the cognitive, structural and communicational aspects of social capital and productivity in management of engineering and construction of the National Iranian Oil Company. Social capital can increase creativity and innovation in society through increased interaction and a sense of self-confidence. As a result, informal groups play an important role in creating social capital, and the organization must work to create these groups in order to capitalize on their capital to reduce operating and management costs.
