Abstract
|
In this investigation, Ni based FSM-16 catalysts such as NiO-FSM-16 and NiO-Ti-FSM-16catalyst with high surface area and big pore volume have been synthesized for Dry Reforming of Methane (DRM) in order to produce SYN gas (CO and H2). The characteristic tests X-ray diffraction (XRD) and N2 adsorption / desorption isotherms have been employed for the fresh prepared catalysts. Dry reforming of methane has been carried out in different temperatures 750, 800 and 850 0C and atmospheric pressure in a fixed bed quartz reactor. The best results of DRM process has been reached for the prepared catalyst NiO-Ti-FSM-16 at 850oC after 150 min of reaction, led to CH4 conversion 84 %, CO2 conversion 82% with H2/CO yield ratio about 0.78.
