Abstract
|
Mostly sustainable economic development and growth depends on the evolution of knowledge and technology and human capital and increasing efficiency.Efficiency growth as an indicator of sustainable development in any country depends mainly on human capital, physical capital, foreign direct investment, and so on.The main purpose of this study is to calculate the technical efficiency with the assumption of variable return to scale (VRS) in Persian Gulf countries using data envelopment analysis (DEA) method as well as the factors affecting it in the framework of an econometric model or model. Tobit ranges from 2000 to 2016. The results show that none of the countries is efficient (average technical efficiency is equal to one) and Iran has been the most technically inefficient country. The average growth of technical efficiency in 2016 compared to 2000 was for countries (17%).Meanwhile, the growth of technical efficiency in 2016 compared to 2000 for Oman countries with (72%) and Bahrain (66%) have reduced the technical efficiency.
The growth of technical efficiency in Qatar and Saudi Arabia has been unchanged. Most have experienced technical performance growth in Iraq (13%).
