Abstract
The complexes like [dt µ*J,v -dee]* are annihilated via the fusion or radiation (X-ray type) processes in the dt µ*J,v; pseudo nucleus. J and v are the ro-vibrational quantum numbers respectively. These molecules are formed in the special conditions of the media, and can be used as a source of X-ray or nuclear energy production. The radiation of X-ray type for the some of muonic molecules has been discovered at Paul Sherrer Institute in 2001 year. This means that this muonic ion is not like the ordinary muonic ions. In this paper, the photo-decay width (or reactivity) for the dt µ*J=0,v; pseudo nucleus with low v is calculated, employing a new wave function to dt µ*J=0,v. The existence of formation channel depend on the effective potential Eg(R), the moving of the nuclei with the radial wave function χJ=0,v(R) in the electronic orbital space of the muon. The radial nuclear wave function for states with angular momentum J, χJ=0,v (R) , is solved using Eg(R) as the effective potential for the nuclear motion. In this work, the photo-decay widths of the low vibrational states, (J = 0, ν = 0) and (J = 0, ν = 1), are in the orders of 5 × 1010 s−1, and close to recent data. As df/dR = 0, the numerical calculations were performed with a short computation time.
